Official NASA publicity photo signed by Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon. Armstrong has signed the photo in blank ink atop his image, with the signature grading "8." This photo is especially desirable because it does not include a personalization, as was customary for Armstrong when signing these photos. This is just the third "signature only" example of this photo we have ever offered and we cannot recall having seen many others. Of all the celebrated astronauts in American history, Armstrong remains the most famous. He was also a very reluctant signer during his lifetime, shunning numerous signing shows over the years. As a result, his signature is the rarest of the three Apollo 11 astronauts, not to mention the most coveted. The photo (8 x 10 inches) remains in Near Mint conditon. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
