Graded EX 5 by PSA (submitted by REA). Exceptional example of one of the most popular of all Lou Gehrig cards, and one of the most classic of all 1930s bubble-gum cards. Crisp image, flawless registration, and four square corners. The color of the card is particularly noteworthy, with a brilliant blue background free of any flaws. Centered to the left, which is all that keeps this card from grading higher. The reverse of the card is extremely clean, with bold green text. This card originally appeared in REA's Spring 2016 auction, where it was consigned by a pioneer collector who did most of his collecting in the 1960s and 1970s with a very keen focus on condition and eye-appeal. It has been consigned directly from the buyer at that sale. A magnificent high-quality example in Excellent condition of one of Lou Gehrig's most classic cards from the popular 1933 Goudey Gum series.  Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500+.
