Graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA. Presented is an ultra high-grade example of #3 Dark Blastoise Holographic from arguably the most important Pokemon set from the company's second year of issue, the 2000 Pokemon Team Rocket 1st Edition set. The sets importance stems from the nature of the "Dark" Pokemon it features. Team Rocket are the villains of Pokemon fantasy, who's goal is to capture Pokemon and use them to gain power. One of the original and most iconic Pokemon, Blastoise, made his debut in the trading card game in the original 1999 Pokemon Base set, but his appearance in the 2000 Pokemon Team Rocket set marks the first time he his depicted as a "Dark" Pokemon. In addition to being the rarest cards in the Pokemon sets, holographic cards are also more susceptible to condition flaws, especially surface scratching. With perfect centering, a clean surface and reverse, and no chipping on the yellow borders, this card is flawless. The Team Rocket set's identifying "R" logo can be found just beneath the lower right corner of the image, opposite the "Edition 1" marking displayed under the lower left corner of the image.
