Graded EX 60 by SGC. Hands-at-chest pose. One of two examples graded at this level by SGC with only one higher. Extremely attractive example of Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson from the legendary T206 series featuring an unusual and scarce El Principe De Gales advertising reverse. Johnson, of course, is one of the key Hall of Famers in the T206 White Border set, which is universally recognized as one of the most substantial and beautiful sets ever produced. This T206 of Walter Johnson is a gorgeous example. It is bright and clean, with a deep blue background and perfect registration. Well centered with light wear at the corners and a small corner crease on the upper left. The important advertising reverse is entirely clean and centered toward the bottom left. This card would be a worthy addition to any T206 advertising back, Walter Johnson, or Hall of Fame card collection. This is an exceptional classic vintage card in an extremely desirable grade with a very desirable scarce advertising reverse. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
