Pair of vintage Louis Armstrong promotional photos, each signed by Armstrong on the front. 1) Publicity photograph (8 x 10 inches) picturing Armstrong leaning on his trumpet. Inscribed in green fountain pen in the upper right corner: Best Wishes/To 'Helen'/From/Louis Armstrong." Both the text and signature grade "8" overall, but the contrast is less than ideal. Vg, with a few pinholes along the borders, corner creases, and paper residue on the reverse from having once been mounted in an album. 2) Real-photo publicity postcard (3.5 x 5.5 inches) picturing Armstrong holding his trumpet and a suitcase. Inscribed by Armstrong vertically in green ink on either side of his image: "Hello Dell/From/Louis Armstrong." Both the text and signature grade "4/5" overall. The postcard, published by "Associated Booking Corp.," has not been addressed or mailed. Vg-Ex, with light corner wear. Total: 2 signed items.
