Bank check, dated November 12, 1984, signed in blue ink along the base by Hall of Fame basketball player “Pistol Pete” Maravich. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the check and graded the signature MINT 9. The check, drawn on the “Bankers Trust of Lousiana,” is made out to the "Insurance Company of North America” in the amount of $346 and features a stamped endorsement on the revere. The blue-ink notation “Cov. woman's comp” is written in the memo field on the front. Hand-numbered "288" in the upper right corner. Maravich died of a heart attack in 1989 at the age of 40, which has resulted in the scarcity of his signature today. The check (6 x 2.75 inches) displays normal bank cancellation stamps (slightly touching the signature) and a staple hole in the upper left corner. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall.  Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
