Three original unopened wax boxes of 1978-1979 Topps basketball. Each box houses thirty-six packs with each pack containing ten cards, for a total of 1,080 cards. The 1978-1979 Topps basketball set features rookie cards of Hall of Famer Dennis Johnson and Bernard King as well as numerous other stars and Hall of Famers, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Pete Maravich, and Julius Erving. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are high-grade cards of these stars, as well as many other top players of the day. These boxes come shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The display boxes exhibit considerable shelf wear.
