Original news photo picturing the New York Yankees outfielders posing together during spring training in 1931. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. The players pictured here, standing in front of the grandstand, are (left to right) Myril Hoag, Earle Combs, Sam Byrd, Babe Ruth, Allen Cooke, and Fred Walker. An "Associated Press Photo" credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with the original paper news caption (which identifies the players) and a date stamp reading "Mar 20 1931." The photo (9.5 x 7 inches) displays a trimmed left border, a few light creases, and editorial markings on the front. In Very Good condition overall. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
