Chicago Cubs blue warm-up jacket worn by manager Jimmie Wilson, circa 1942. The zipper-front blue nylon jacket features the Cubs logo patch on the left breast and red-white-and-blue cloth accents along the collar, cuffs, and waistband. A "King Sportswear Company" label and adjacent "46" size tag appear on the interior left lining. A blue strip tag bearing the the name "J. Wilson" in red chain-stitch lettering appears on the interior right lining. A manufacturer's tag in the collar reads "Everything Jim Carrig For Baseball Chicago." Although no year tag is present, Jimmie Wilson managed the Cubs only from 1941-1943 (plus the first ten games of 1944), thereby dating the jacket to that narrow time span. The jacket displays heavy wear, including a few small tears and minor soiling. The zipper remains fully functional. This is a scarce Chicago Cubs team garment dating from the war years. Reserve $300.
