1883 fold-over scorecard issued for a National League game between the Boston Red Beaneaters and Buffalo Bisons, held at Boston's South End Grounds. The reverse features the current league standings for 1883 (stretched across the front and back covers). The preprinted lineups include Dan Brouthers, Jim O'Rourke, Deacon White, and Pud Galvin for Buffalo, and John Morrill, Ezra Sutton, and Jack Burdock for Boston. Neatly scored in pencil to record a 3-2 Buffalo win. The date "Sept 21, 83" is written in pencil on the front cover (research indicates that the date is correct). The scorecard (7.5 x 7 inches) displays a slight horizontal fold and a small edge tears. In Very Good condition overall. Reserve $1,500. Estimate (open).
