Official American League (Harridge) ball signed in blue ink by 28 members of the 1954 Boston Red Sox. Graded NM 7 by PSA/DNA (signatures grade NM-Mt 8 overall; ball grades NM 7; resulting in an overall grade of NM+ 7.5). Included on the ball are the signatures of Williams (sweet spot), Boudreau (Mgr., sweet spot), Agganis (on ball label), Piersall, Sullivan, Kinder, Hatton, Goodman, Maxwell, Consolo, Olson, Mele, Hudson, White, Wilbur, Brewer, Lepcio, Parnell, Owen, Kemmerer, Clevenger, and Jensen. (The additional signature of Milt Bolling has been deemed a clubhouse version.) It should be noted that the signature of Harry Agganis is rare. Agganis died tragically in mid season of 1955 at the age of 25 due to a pulmonary embolism. This is an outstanding, high-grade 1950s Red Sox team ball and one of the few we have seen to feature Agganis' signature. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
