Presented is an incredible complete unopened cello box of 1967 Topps Series 1 Baseball containing forty-eight original unopened 10-cent cello packs. This is a particularly rare unopened box! This is the first complete unopened 1967 Topps cello box that we have ever offered, and the first complete cello box from this year that we can recall ever appearing at public auction. The 1967 Topps set is very popular among collectors, and Series 1 (which this box is from) features many stars of the era, including Hall of Famers Whitey Ford, Don Drysdale, Al Kaline, Orlando Cepeda, Ron Santo, Luis Aparicio, and Frank Robinson, as well as legendary star Roger Maris. The display box has survived in outstanding condition, with bright colors and light shelf wear, including a few light creases along the edges. The box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Mint or Gem Mint cards. This tremendous high-grade unopened cello box, which looks exactly as it did when it sat on a candy-store shelf in 1967, would make an incredible addition to even the most advanced baseball or unopened-box collection. Opening Bid $25,000. Estimate $50,000+.
