Rarely offered 1968 Topps "Deckle Edge" proof card (blank back) featuring Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Carl Yastremski. Originally produced on 9-card sheets prior to the more common 1969 "Deckle Edge" series, these cards are found with the players' facsimile autograph in red (as seen here), black, or blue. This hand-cut (by definition, as this card had to have been cut from a proof sheet) card is in Ex-Mt condition. Exceptionally bright and clean, with outstanding centering, strong corners, and a clean reverse. This is an extremely unusual and fascinating Topps rarity that would be very much at home in even the most advanced Topps or Carl Yastrzemski collection. Encapsulated “Authentic” by SGC.
