Presented is a rarely offered complete 55-card set of 1964 A & BC Gum "Mars Attacks." These cards were issued in the United Kingdom by A & BC Gum, the international arm of Topps, and are similar in design to the Mars Attacks cards issued in the states but are slightly smaller in size. Because this set was issued in the United Kingdom, many American collectors have never seen this issue. Condition is 14% Ex, 48% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 38% lesser (including four trimmed and one with color added). Keys: #1 The Invasion Begins (Fr due to small spot of paper loss on reverse) and 55 Checklist (marked in pencil, otherwise Vg). All cards maintain bold colors and crisp images. This represents an outstanding opportunity to acquire a complete set of A&BC cards, which are especially scarce. The great similarity of these A&BC items to their classic American counterparts make them particularly fascinating and worthy additions to any "Mars Attacks," nonsport, or foreign-card collection. Total: 55 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
