Incredible Hulk #181 (Marvel Comics, 11/1974). Graded VG+ 4.5 by CGC with white pages (submitted by REA). First full appearance of Wolverine. Herb Trimpe cover, Len Wein story, and Herb Trimpe and Jack Abel art. Well presenting mid-grade example of the most important regular-issue comic book of the Bronze Age period of 1970-1984. Although Wolverine had a brief cameo appearance in Incredible Hulk #180, this is the first issue, cover appearance, and full story to feature him throughout in his battle with Hulk and Wendigo. Wolverine was billed on the cover as "The world's first and greatest Canadian super-hero!", and his enduring popularity in pop culture and comic books has lasted for almost five decades! This extraordinarily popular and in-demand comic book would make a welcome addition to any Wolverine, Hulk, or key-issue collection. Reserve $500. Estimate (open).
