Chicago Blackhawks ticket stub issued for the opening game of the 1979-1980 season against the Edmonton Oilers at Chicago Stadium on October 10th in which Wayne Gretzky made his NHL debut for Edmonton. Graded MINT 9 by PSA. This is the only example graded at this level, with NONE graded higher (out of five listed in the PSA Population Report). This is the first ticket stub from Gretzky's debut we have ever offered and we cannot recall having seen a finer example. Gretzky recorded an assist in Edmonton's 4-2 loss. Though just 19 years old, Gretzky led the Oilers in scoring in the 1979-1980 season, finishing with 51 goals and league-leading totals in assists (86) and points (137). 1.5 x 2.75 inches.
