Complete original case of 1989-1990 NBA Hoops Series 1 basketball (factory seals broken), featuring twenty unopened boxes, each containing thirty-six packs housing 15 cards, for a total of 10,800 cards from this popular issue. This lot originates from an exciting, fresh-to-the-hobby collection of unopened material consigned to this auction by a former wholesaler, who kept it in storage since the date of issue. Each box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The 1989-1990 NBA Hoops Series 1 basketball set includes the rookie card of Hall of Famer David Robinson, as well as keys cards of Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, it would be hard to imagine that this case does not include a generous supply of Mint or Gem Mint cards of every player in the set.
