1955 Topps Roberto Clemente card #164, signed by Clemente on the front. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the card and certified the signature as “Authentic.” Clemente has scripted his name in blue ink, just above his stamped facsimile signature, with the signature grading “2.” One of card collecting's greatest classics, Clemente's rookie card is the key to the 1955 Topps set, and one of the most popular of all postwar baseball cards. Not surprisingly, due to Clemente’s untimely and tragic death in 1972, signed examples are scarce. This is the just the third we have ever offered, and we have seen probably fewer than six others at auction in the past 15 years. It is also one of just twelve signed examples listed in the PSA Population Report. In Very Good condition. Reserve $500. Estimate (open).
