Original Andy Frain Wrigley Field usher's cap dating from circa 1970s. The blue cap, with short white brim, features a gold braid on the front, along with a black band that is embroidered "Chicago" in gold stitch. The number "322" is embroidered in gold stitch on the front of the cap, above the black band. A small Chicago Cubs pin remains affixed to black band on the side of the cap. The manufacturer's label on the interior reads "Maier Lavaty Co./227 W. Van Buren St./Chicago, Ill/ Property of Andy Frain." A "7" size tag also appears on the interior. Andy Frain ushers were a fixture at nearly every Chicago sporting for nearly seventy years. The company was founded by Andy Frain in 1924 and it remained family owned until 1996. The company's ushers were mostly associated with Wrigley Field because it was William Wrigley who advanced Frain the money to buy his ushers their trademark blue uniforms and caps. The cap displays only light wear, including a few minor blemishes to the brim, and remains in Excellent to Mint condition. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
