Spectacular high-grade partial set of 1964-1965 Topps Hockey, one of the most popular and classic of all hockey-card sets, consisting of sixty-two different cards (plus one duplicate) out of 110 in a complete set. Each card is graded NM 7 by PSA except for six slightly lesser as noted. Eighteen Hall of Famers highlight the offered collection. PSA Grading Composite: NM 7 (57 cards): #2-4, 6 Sawchuk (HOF), 7 Hay (HOF), 9-11, 12 Hall (HOF), 13, 15 Ullman (HOF), 16-19, 21-23, 24 Gilbert (HOF), 26-30, 32, 34-38, 39 Pronovost (HOF), 40 Bower (HOF), 41, 42, 43 Blake (HOF), 44 Kelly (HOF), 45 Imlach (HOF), 46 Duff (HOF), 47, 50 Boivin (HOF), 52, 57, 61, 64, 65, 75, 76, 79, 83 Howell (HOF), 87, 88, 90, 93 Abel (HOF), 97, 101 Johnson (HOF), 103 and 109 Pilote AS (HOF). EX-MT 6 (4 cards): #45 Imlach (HOF), 56, 66, and 81. EX 5 (2 cards): #14 and 86 Bathgate (HOF). The oversized design of the 1964-1965 Topps Hockey set makes this issue particularly susceptible to damage, and makes the assembly of high-grade sets all the more difficult. This is an exceptionally attractive high-grade partial set with tremendous eye-appeal across the board. A high-quality and very carefully assembled grouping from one of card collecting's most popular hockey issues. The SMR value in the assigned grades is $3,375. Total: 63 cards. Reserve $1,000.
