Handbill heralding the appearance of James Brown at Madison Square Garden on March 20th. Although no year is listed in print, "1966" is written in blue ink in the upper right corner. Brown is pictured in the center of the handbill and the text hails the concert as "The Big Show of the Year!" Additional listed performers include Bobby Byrd, Elsie Mae, Vickie Anderson, and the Shangri-Las. The handbill (7.25 x 11.25 inches), which is printed on thin paper, displays a slight trim to its current dimensions, a horizontal fold, and adhesive residue in each of the four corners on the reverse.
