Rare program issued during the Philadelphia Athletics' 1920 spring-training season. The A's trained in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in 1920 and the town's Association of Commerce celebrated the A's arrival with the publishing of this substantial 60-page program. One page is devoted to the A's, which lists the team's 1920 spring schedule, team executives, and former Championship seasons. The remaining pages serve to promote Lake Charles, featuring photos and text extolling the town's virtues, as well as numerous advertisements by local merchants. A blank scorecard (no preprinted lineups) appears in the center of he program. This is the only example of this program we have ever seen. The program (6 x 9.25 inches) displays a very light vertical fold, a light stain along the top border of the back cover that also affects approximately 40 interior pages, and a few tiny edge tears.
