It seems only fitting that the “Fab Four” would be immortalized in their own card sets. When the Beatles stormed the shores of America, an uncontrollable appetite for Beatles-related products resulted, and Topps could barely keep up with the demand for new, exciting, and now classic Beatles trading cards. This collection includes the following six complete sets of Beatles bubble-gum cards, all issued by Topps in 1964: 1-3) "Black & White" Series 1, 2, and 3 Complete Sets (165) Plus 5 Duplicates: 12% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 65% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 23% Gd to Vg to Vg-Ex (including three lower). Also included is an original wax wrapper (Gd) and five duplicates from Series 2 (all green back variations). 4) "Beatles Color Photos" Complete Set (64): 62% Ex to Ex-Mt (mostly Ex) and 38% Vg-Ex (including four lower). Also included is an original wax wrapper (Vg-Ex). 5) “Beatles Diary” Complete Set (60): 40% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few Nr/Mt) and 60% Vg to Vg-Ex (including a few lower and a couple miscut). 6) "Beatles A Hard Day’s Night" Complete Set (55): 31% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 50% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 19% Gd to Vg (including a couple lesser). Also included is an original wax wrapper (Vg-Ex). A superb collection of nonsport cards featuring one of the most popular music groups of all time!
