1964 United States IRS tax return (Form 1040) and Wisconsin State tax return (Form 1), each signed by Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Nitschke. These were the duplicate copies kept by Nitschke for his records. Each of his signatures, scripted in pencil at the top of page one, includes his wife Jacqueline's name and grades "8" overall. Nitschke, who was in his seventh season with the Green Bay Packers in 1964, listed his salary as $17,534.79, with an additional income from other sources of $1,164.45. Both returns (8.5 x 11 inches) are four-page fold-over documents, with additional typed expense sheets stapled to each on the interior. Excellent condition overall. Accompanied by typed copies of each return, plus four additional related tax documents for the year. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA (for the federal return only).
