Oakland A’s home jersey worn by Hall of Fame outfielder Reggie Jackson in 1971. Graded A10 by MEARS. 1971 was the final season in which the Oakland A’s wore flannel jerseys, making this a historically significant Jackson jersey. The white flannel "vest-style" jersey features "A's" on the left breast and the number “9” on both the right breast and reverse. All letters and numerals are appliquéd in green-on-gold tackle twill. Situated on the left front tail are a “McAuliffe” label, a “’71” year tag and a “44” size tag. Jackson has inscribed the jersey, “Reggie Jackson H.O.F. 93,” in blue Sharpie (grading “8/9”) on the left breast. Jackson batted .277 with 32 home runs and 80 RBI in 1971.  One of the game's most controversial and charismatic players, Jackson finished his career with 563 home runs, 1,702 RBI, and a .262 average. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1993 during his first year of eligibility. Graded A10 by MEARS (base grade of 10, with no deductions). LOA from Dave Grob/MEARS (for the jersey only). Pre-certified by Steve Grad and Brian Sobrero/Beckett Authentication Services (for the signature only). Reserve $10,000. Estimate (open).
