Ticket stub issued for Game 7 of the 1960 World Series held at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh. Encapsulated and certified "Authentic" by PSA. Game 7 of the 1960 World Series will always be remembered for Bill Mazeroski's dramatic walk-off home run, which gave the Pirates their first World Championship since 1925. In addition to the Pirates' World Championship, this ticket also commemorates Casey Stengel's final game as manager of the New York Yankees. Despite winning ten pennants and seven World Championships in twelve seasons with the Yankees, Stengel was unceremoniously fired after losing the 1960 Fall Classic, making it an especially bitter defeat for "The Old Professor." The ticket stub (4.25 x 2.25 inches) displays a number of moderate creases, light abrasions, and a pinhole in the upper right corner. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
