Autograph-album page featuring the signatures of Walter Johnson and Connie Mack. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, with the signatures graded NM-MT+ 8.5 (that number represents the average grade of the two signatures). This page was originally sold in our Spring 2019 auction as part of a larger collection originating from an extraordinary autograph album compiled in the 1930s that featured numerous Hall of Famers and star players from that era and earlier. The beginning of the album featured the signatures of the players who had made the uncle's "All-Time" team, with one signature appearing on each side of the album page. This was the fifth page in the album, with Johnson selected as the top pitcher, and Mack the best manager. Both signatures are in the form of cuts which have been affixed to the album page. The Johnson signature, scripted in black fountain pen on an unlined piece of paper (3.25 x 1.5 inches), reads "Best Wishes/Walter Johnson." Mack's signature, scripted in blue fountain pen on an unlined sheet of paper (4 x 2 inches), reads simply "Connie Mack." The album page measures 5 x 4.5 inches (small tear near the removal edge).
