Between 1981 and 1989, the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum issued this limited-edition set of metallic baseball cards reproducing the plaques of the baseball stars enshrined. The plaques are pictured on blank-backed gold anodized aluminum (2.5 x 3.5 inches). The set was sold through the Hall of Fame's gift shop and was discontinued for economic reasons in 1989. The series was limited to only 1,000 plaques of each player. The metallic cards are in overall Nr/Mt-Mt condition and are accompanied by their original custom album as issued.
