During consecutive years, 1960 and 1961, Union Oil 76 gas stations in Southern California offered a series of Los Angeles Dodgers booklets to customers on a one-per-week basis. Titled "The Dodger Family", booklets featured star players such as Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Duke Snider, Maury Wills, and Gil Hodges, as well as a few coaches and announcers (including Walter Alston and Vin Scully). Each booklet includes biographical and personal information, playing tips, and numerous candid and posed photos. Presented are complete sets of both the 1960 (23 booklets) and 1961 (24 booklets) issues. The condition of the 1960 booklets range from Vg to Ex, with a few better and three (Jim Gilliam, Larry Sherry, and Hodges) lesser due to cover damage or pencil writing. The 1961 booklets range from Vg to Ex, with the exception of six booklets (including Alston, Drysdale, and Wills) that show a pair of staple holes through the booklets. This is a very attractive pair of complete sets of these rarely offered regional issues that would be significant additions to any baseball memorabilia or Los Angeles Dodgers collection.
