Ticket stub from Game 5 of the 1972 National League Championship Series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds, held at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati, in which Roberto Clemente played his final game. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA/DNA. This is one of only three examples graded at this level, with just one graded higher. Unbeknownst to all at the time, the fifth and final game of the NLCS would be Clemente’s last, as he died tragically in a plane crash just three months later. Clemente recorded the final hit of his career in the Pirates’ 4-3 loss, a single to center field in the first inning. 3.75 x 2.25 inches. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
