Exceptional Old Hickory model "MT27*" bat used by perennial All-Star outfielder Mike Trout during the 2013 season. Its game use has been personally attested to by Trout, who has signed and inscribed the bat on the "sweet spot" of the barrel in silver paint pen (grading "10"): "Mike Trout/13 GU." Graded "GU 10" by PSA/DNA. The bat, which features a cupped end, is not cracked and according to PSA/DNA "exhibits evidence of outstanding use," including ball and stitch marks, with many of the ball marks displaying blue-ink transfers. Also visible are cleat marks and an impression from a weighted batting donut. The lower handle has been wrapped in white tape. Mota Stick appears on the lower handle, with the upper handle displaying a coat of pine tar. Trout enjoyed another banner season in 2013, which was his second full season in the Majors. He finished the year with league-leading totals in runs (109) and bases on balls (110) while batting .323, with 27 home runs and 97 RBI. Considered the best all-around player in baseball today, Trout won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2012 and in each of his first five full seasons has finished either first or second in the MVP balloting (he won the Award in 2014 and 2016). This is an outstanding Trout bat in all respects, made all the more desirable by Trout's handwritten affirmation of its game-used status. Length: 33.5 inches. Weight: 32.9 ounces. Accompanied by two separate full LOAs from PSA/DNA (one from John Taube for the bat and the other for the autograph). Reserve $1,000. Estimate (open).
