1983 Fleer card #226 Ricky Wright signed by Wright in black Sharpie (grading “9/10”) across the front. Beckett Authentic has encapsulated the card and certified the signature as “Authentic.” Wright, who is still alive, is notorious among collectors for refusing to sign his Topps cards. While we do not know if he has taken the same stance with his Fleer issues, the fact is that Fleer examples are also exceedingly rare. This is the first we have ever offered, and we cannot recall having seen another. Needless to say, this card represents one of the “keys” for any collector attempting to assemble a complete autographed 1983 Fleer set. Wright enjoyed a brief, uneventful Major League career, which spanned the years 1982-1986. During that time, he appeared in just 55 games, compiling a lifetime record of 3-3 with a 4.30 ERA. Near Mint condition.
