1934 Four-on-One exhibit card signed by Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Bill Dickey, and Lefty Gomez. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, with the signatures certified as "Authentic." Each player has signed the card in blue fountain pen atop his respective image, with the signatures grading as follows: Ruth ("8"), Gehrig ("8'), Dickey ("6"), and Gomez ("6"). This is one of the most extraordinary vintage New York Yankees signed items we have ever seen, especially since it features the autographs of four of the greatest players ever to put on a Yankees uniform. The card's year of issue, 1934, is also significant because that was not only Ruth's last season with the Yankees, but also the year in which Gehrig won the Triple Crown and MVP Award. The exhibit card (3.375 x 5.375 inches) displays moderate corner wear, a light stain in the center (very unobtrusive), and a small area of surface paper loss on the reverse. Also, each player is identified on the reverse in blue ink with respect to his team and position. In Very Good condition overall. This is the only fully signed example of this card we have ever seen and one that would be a significant addition to even the most advanced New York Yankees or autographed baseball-card collection. This card appeared as lot #1242 in REA's Spring 2016 auction (realizing $72,000, a record for a multi-signed trading card). It has been consigned directly from the purchaser at that sale.
