Issued as part of a promotion in 1959 for Yoo-Hoo "The Drink of Champions!" brand chocolate flavored soft drink. As one of the most popular soft drinks of the 1950s and 1960s for kids in the New York area, Yoo-Hoo capitalized on the strength of the New York Yankees franchise and issued this small black & white five-card set of popular Yankees' players. Each card had a tab at the bottom that could be neatly cut off and saved to redeem prizes from the company. Miraculously each card in the offered set still has the original tab attached. The cards presented in this set comprise the #1 PSA Set Registry set with a 7.72 set rating, and grade as follows: Berra (NM 7), Ford (NM 7), Kubek (NM 7), McDougald (NM 7), and Skowron (NM-MT 8, highest graded).
