Summer 1959 issue of Oklahoma Today featuring an uncut set of 20 mini baseball cards on the back cover, including Mickey Mantle. This 36-page publication, dedicated to life in the "Sooner State," features an article dedicated to Oklahoma natives who played Major League baseball. In accordance with that article, the magazine also produced a set of mini cards on the back cover picturing 20 of those individuals, including Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Carl Hubbell, Dizzy Dean, Paul Waner, Lloyd Waner, and Warren Spahn. Each card (1.75 x 2.75 inches) pictures the player in uniform (either full figure or bust-length image), while the reverse simply lists the player's name, position, main team affiliation, and respective league. Each of the cards was meant to be cut out by hand, with printed perforation lines to be used as a guide. The Mantle card appears to have a tiny blue ink mark above his right ear; otherwise it is in overall Excellent condition. The magazine (8.5 x 11 inches) is in Very Good condition overall, with an erased pencil mark on the cover and a few light creases to both covers.
