Presented is a substantial collection of sixty-seven T213 (Type 2) Coupon Cigarette cards, highlighted by seventeen Hall of Famers including Tris Speaker. T213 (Type 2) Coupon is one of tobacco-card collecting's rarest and most overlooked sets. It is also a particularly interesting issue. Similar in design and borrowing the same images as T206, the T213 (Type 2) Coupon set was issued exclusively in the Louisiana area, and is far rarer than its T206 counterparts. Because they were issued in 1914, they are not only one of the last of the traditional tobacco-card issues, but also one of the few tobacco-card sets to feature players identified with Federal League teams. Their connection and significance to the T206 set is especially fascinating due to cards on which the players are identified with teams different than those indicated in the T206 set. In many ways, the T213 (Type 2) Coupon is truly an extension of the T206 set. The coupon cards are seldom seen, and because of this receive little attention, but upon reflection we think it would be impossible for any advanced tobacco collector to not appreciate the intrigue and unique connection of T213 (Type 2) Coupons (as well as their extreme relative rarity) to the T206 "White Borders" set. This collection represents 36% of the set. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by SGC.
