Extremely attractive signed example of Hall of Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas' rookie card from the 1957 Topps Football set, one of football-card collecting's great classics. The offered card has been beautifully inscribed by Unitas across the front in blue ballpoint pen (signature grades '8'). Do not be fooled by the modest assigned grade of PR 1 that PSA has assigned the card! It presents at first glance closer to the Near Mint level, with vibrant colors, sharp corners, and centering slightly to the left. It has been downgraded due to a few light wrinkles visible under close inspection along with excess paper on the reverse (likely from mounting at one time) and a few tiny spots of paper loss (completely unobtrusive) likely originating from the attempted removal of the formerly mentioned excess paper. This is a stunning signed example of this immensely popular football card and a worthy addition to any collection of 1957 Topps Football, Johnny Unitas, or signed Hall of Fame rookie cards.
