Presented is a rarely offered complete 15-card set of 1956 Kahn's Wieners cards, highlighted by the rookie card Hall of Famer Frank Robinson. Each card is graded and encapsulated by PSA and represents the No. 1 set on the PSA Set Registry. Kahn's from the earlier years (pre-1960) are particularly rare and tend to survive in low grade simply because they were available only in packages of Kahn's Meats (as opposed to also being available by mail in sets direct from the company, as was the case in the later years). The set features members of the Cincinnati Reds exclusively. They are usually found with serious condition problems relating to their method of issue, including creases and hot-dog stains. A set like this does not just happen to come together by chance, especially for Kahn's Wieners. This set has been assembled by an extremely dedicated collector over a period of many years. The result of his efforts is the finest set ever assembled of this extremely rare issue. PSA Grading Composite: Three EX-MT 6: Black, Lawrence, and Nuxhall. Five EX 5: Bailey, Fowler, Klippstein, Post, and Temple. Two VG-EX+ 4.5: Burgess and Jablonski. One VG-EX 4: McMillan (MK). One VG 3: Freeman. Two PR 1: Kluszewski and F. Robinson (HOF, RC). One Authentic: Bell (trimmed). Ten of the fifteen cards in the offered set are the highest graded examples listed on the PSA Population Report. This offering represents a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptional high-grade complete set of this scarce 1950s regional issue. Total: 15 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500+.
