Graded NM 7 by PSA. Popular #220 Lefty Grove from the classic 1933 Goudey set featuring the Philadelphia Athletics Hall of Famer in his signature pitching pose. Grove was a dominant pitcher throughout his career, particularly during the three-year stretch from 1929 to 1931 in which his Athletics won the league each year and the World Series twice. He finished with exactly 300 wins and is a 1947 inductee into Cooperstown. This card displays crisp colors, excellent registration, and is centered slightly toward the bottom right. Four strong corners and a clean, boldly printed reverse. A very attractive high-grade key card example that would be a worthy addition to any 1933 Goudey set or Hall of Fame collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
