Presented are eight T213 Coupon Cigarettes cards, with representation of all three series. T213 Coupons are one of tobacco-card collecting's rarest and most overlooked series. The T213 Coupon sets were issued exclusively in the Louisiana area in 1910 (Type 1), 1914 (Type 2), and 1919 (Type 3). Similar in design and borrowing the same images as T206, they are far rarer than their T206 counterparts. Their connection and significance to the T206 set is especially fascinating due to cards where the players (who are featured with the same artwork as T206) are identified with teams different than those indicated in the T206 set. Two cards have been graded and encapsulated by SGC. 1) 1910 T213 Coupon Cigarettes - Type 1 (2 cards): Bernhard (Pr-Fr) and Killian (tilted factory cut, otherwise Vg+). 2) 1914 T213 Coupon Cigarettes - Type 2 (3 cards): Evans (Vg+), Groom (VG/EX+ 55), Hofman (Gd+), and Hofmann (Vg). 3) 1919 T213 Coupon Cigarettes - Type 3 (2 cards): Dubuc (slight trim to top edge, otherwise Ex) and Kelley (HOF, SGC Authentic due to a slight trim, otherwise Ex-Mt). The T213 Coupon cards are seldom seen, and because of this receive little attention, but upon reflection we think it would be impossible for any advanced tobacco-card collector to not appreciate the intrigue and unique connection of T213 Coupons (as well as their extreme relative rarity) to the T206 White Border set. This is a very attractive collection of T213 Coupon Cigarette cards, one of tobacco-card collecting's most overlooked and significant issues, including type cards from each of the three T213 Coupon series. Total: 8 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
