Pair of complete sets issued by Heinz during the 1930s. Heinz produced several aviation-themed sets during this era "for the purpose of stimulating Young America's interest in aviation," as noted on the backs of cards from its "Famous Aviators" set. 1) 1930s Heinz "Famous Airplanes" Series 2: Complete set of 25 cards. Condition is eight Ex, five Vg-Ex, seven Vg, and five Gd (including a couple due to pencil on the reverse). 2) 1930s Heinz "Famous Aviators": Complete set of 25 cards. Condition is four Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, ten Ex, four Vg-Ex, four Gd, and three lesser. All cards in the offered sets are bright and clean. This is a solid assembly of these popular nonsport sets. Total: 2 sets consisting of 50 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
