Full ticket issued for the heavyweight title bout between Joe Louis and “Jersey Joe” Walcott held at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 5, 1947. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. This is the only full example ever evaluated by PSA. In what would be the first of two title fights between the two, Louis retained his heavyweight championship by defeating Walcott by split decision. The ticket (6.75 x 2.5 inches) displays a paperclip impression along the right border; otherwise it is Excellent to Mint in its overall appearance. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
