Complete set of 1969-1970 Topps Basketball Rulers consisting of all twenty-three rulers (#5 was never issued). This fascinating and unusual set consists of colorful "cards" measuring 2.5 x 10 inches and designed as a ruler used to measure some of the day's best basketball players, including Lew Alcindor and Wilt Chamberlain. The front features an illustration of the player alongside the ruler, with his height marked appropriately and his name and team near the bottom. The backs are blank. Each ruler is folded into fourths, as designed and issued, with the folds visible against the very thin stock. Fourteen of the twenty-three rulers in the set are graded and encapsulated by PSA. PSA Grading Composite: One MINT 9: #3 Howell. One NM-MT 8: #12 Thurmond. Three NM 7: #19 Reed, 21 Cunningham, and 24 Robertson. Five EX-MT 6: #4 Hayes, 9 Havlicek, 11 Chamberlain, 15 Lucas, and 20 Monroe. Four EX 5: #13 Greer, 17 Frazier, 18 G. Johnson, and 22 Unseld.
