Unopened Packs and Boxes
Four original unopened wax boxes of 1983 Topps football cards. These boxes originate from a retired store owner, who sold Topps products in his store during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Each box houses thirty-six unopened wax packs with each pack containing fifteen cards, for a total of 2,160 cards. The 1983 Topps set features rookie cards of Hall of Famers Marcus Allen, Mike Singletary, and Kenny Easley, as well as numerous other stars and Hall of Famers, including Walter Payton and Joe Montana. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Mint cards of these stars, as well as many other top players of the day. The boxes come shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The boxes display light creasing and typical shelf wear, with one box showing close-out markings in black ink. This is an outstanding quartet of original unopened wax boxes, which would make great additions to any unopened wax box collection. Total: 4 boxes. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
