1960 to 1968 Nu-Card and Topps Football Complete Set Collection (4 sets, 563 cards)

Outstanding collection of three complete Topps football sets and one complete Nu-Card set, spanning the years 1960 through 1968. Though they do not have as many cards as the Topps baseball sets of the era, and are not as valuable, these football sets are actually rarer than their baseball counterparts. Each set is loaded with all the great stars and Hall of Famers. We have selected six cards to be graded and encapsulated by PSA. 1) 1960 Topps (132): 17% Nr/Mt, 75% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 8% Vg to Vg-Ex. Keys: #1 Unitas (Vg), 23 Brown (Ex+), 51 Starr (Nr/Mt+), 54 Hornung (Vg-Ex), 56 Gregg RC (Ex-Mt), and 74 Gifford (Ex-Mt). 2) 1961 Nu-Card (80 cards): 57% Nr/Mt-Mt to Mt, 27% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, and 16% lesser (including one that measures small). Keys: #117 Hadl (Nr/Mt-Mt), 143 Davis (MINT 9), and 166 Gabriel (Nr/Mt). The set is accompanied by an Excellent condition wrapper with normal packaging wrinkles and folds. 3) 1967 Topps (132 cards): 23% Nr/Mt-Mt, 43% Nr/Mt, and 34% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a couple lower). Keys: #59 Checklist (MINT 9), 61 Dawson (75/25 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt), 82 McDaniel RC (25/75 L/R, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt), 98 Namath (NM-MT 8), 106 Biletnikoff (NM-MT 8), 123 Alworth (70/30 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt-Mt), #132 Checklist (Nr/Mt). 4) 1968 Topps (219 cards): 32% Nr/Mt-Mt, 40% Nr/Mt, and 28% Ex to Ex-Mt (including seven lesser and a couple that measure small). Keys: #1 Starr (Ex+), 25 Meredith (MINT 9), 65 Namath (Ex-Mt), 75 Sayers (Nr/Mt), 100 Unitas (Nr/Mt), 173 Little RC (NM-MT 8), and 196 Griese RC (30/70 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt). This is a very attractive assembly of classic 1960s football sets consigned from an old-time collection with many notable highlights. The SMR value for just five of the six graded cards (excluding the Nu-Card for which there is no SMR value) is $765. Total: 4 sets, 563 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+.
