Scarce ticket stub from Roger Maris' Major League debut, together with an autographed 1962 Topps Roger Maris card #234. 1) The Cleveland Indians ticket stub, for the club's opening-day game on April 16, 1957, has been encapsulated and certified "Authentic" by PSA. This is one of only 7 examples ever evaluated by PSA/DNA and the first we have ever offered. Maris went 3-5 in his debut, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to prevent a 3-2 loss to the White Sox. The ticket (3 x 2 inches), issued for "Lower Reserve" seat, displays minor staining along the left border and minor creasing, In Very Good condition overall. 2) The 1962 Topps card #234, which pictures Maris at bat during the 1961 World Series, has been signed in blue ink on the front, with the signature grading "7/8." It has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA, with the signature certified as "Authentic." Vg-Ex, with light corner wear. Total: 2 items (ticket stub and autographed card). Reserve $200. Estimate $500+.
