Insert movie poster issued for The Jackie Robinson Story, which was released by Eagle Lion Films in 1950. Produced just three years after Jackie Robinson's historic debut with the Dodgers, the film starred Robinson as himself and Minor Watson as Branch Rickey. The design of this poster (which is very similar to both the one-sheet and half sheet), has always been regarded as one of the most attractive of all baseball movie posters, as it features a full-length image of Robinson in a batting pose, with smaller inset illustrations of him batting, running, and sliding. It should be noted that the insert is the scarcest of the three styles. This is the first we have ever offered and we cannot recall having seen more than a few others over the years. The poster (13.5 x 35.5 inches; visible dimensions) displays normal folds and is in apparent Excellent to Mint condition. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 21 x 43 inches.
