High-grade program issued for the 1932 World Series between the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs at Yankee Stadium. The 1932 fall classic is best remembered today for Babe Ruth's "called shot" in Game 3 in Chicago. It also marked the final World Series of Ruth's storied caree. The preprinted lineups include Ruth, Gehrig, Combs, Sewell, Lazzeri, Dickey, and Ruffing for New York, and Herman, Cuyler, Hartnett, English, Stephenson, and Koenig for Chicago. Although the program is not scored, it had to have been issued for either Game 1 or Game 2, as those were the only 2 games in the Series played in New York (the Yankees swept the Cubs in 4 games). The program (9.25 x 11 inches) displays light handling wear and remains in Near Mint condition. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
