Diverse collection of store-model baseball gloves dating from early 1900s, highlighted by a rare circa 1930 Mickey Cochrane Reach pro-model "12A" catcher's mitt. All of the gloves display heavy use and are in Good to Very Good condition overall. Unless otherwise noted, all are right-handed gloves. Listed by manufacturer, the collection is composed of the following: Reach (2): 1) Circa 1930 Mickey Cochrane endorsed pro-model "12A" catcher's mitt. The buckle-back glove features Cochrane's stamped facsimile signature along the top of the pocket and "Indian Face" design along the base. This was Reach's top-of-the-line catcher's glove at the time and one that is seldom seen today. This is the first example we have ever offered. In Very Good condition, with supple leather and all of the original laces fully intact. 2) Brown-leather fielder's glove. Goldsmith (1): white-leather fielder's glove. D&M (3): 1) black-leather fielder's glove. 2) first-baseman's glove (Joe Judge model). 3) white-leather fielder's glove. Spalding (3): 1-2) two white-leather fielder's gloves. 3) brown-leather fielder's glove. M. Sharf & Co. (1): brown-leather left-handed fielder's glove. Manufacturer Unknown (1): catcher's glove with crescent pocket. Total: 11 gloves. Reserve $500. Estimate (open).
