Historic full ticket from Game 4 of the 1927 World Series held at Yankee Stadium on October 8th. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. This is one of only two 1927 World Series Game 4 full tickets authenticated by PSA, and it represents the highest-graded example (the other is certified as “Authentic"). In addition to Game 4 being the final game of the Series, it was also one of two games in the Series to feature a Ruth home run. The 1927 World Series, which matched the fabled New York Yankees against the Pittsburgh Pirates, seemed almost anticlimactic, given the Yankees' dominance during the regular season. Led by Ruth and Gehrig, the team's vaunted "Murderer's Row" lineup belted out a then-record 158 home runs and led the league in virtually every offensive category. Although the Pirates featured a formidable lineup themselves, led by the famed Waner brothers, Paul and Lloyd, they proved no match for the "Bronx Bombers." The Yankees easily dispatched their National League rivals in four straight games, thus forever earning them the unofficial title of baseball's all-time greatest team.  The ticket (7 x 2.25 inches) displays a few very light creases, all of which are barely visible except upon close examination. Reserve $5,000. Estimate $10,000++.
